Many of you have requested a list of recommended books and other resources for further investigation. Here is a beginning, and you can expect additions from time to time. I have a broad range of interests that includes essences, holistic health for people and animals, how the human mind and body work, sacred geometry, and much more.

Items marked with a triple asterisk (***) are personal favorites that I have read, in many cases more than once. The others are in my library or on my list, waiting for that moment when there is time to dive in. Some of these have been recommended by clients or customers; some have made themselves known through the magic of wandering the internet, seeking wisdom and information. They are included for your research and discernment pleasure. Enjoy exploring!

Books are broken into groups of fairly broad topics, and you can click on one of the links immediately below this paragraph for the beginning of each topic. Some are about how essences work, many are references for the metaphysical properties of plants, gems and animals (beyond the descriptions you will find on the essence pages), and many are subjects that are simply near and dear to my heart. The first book listed below, by Kyra Mesich, Psy.D., is the one I know best. Dr. Mesich has written an easy-to-understand introduction to the issues of empathic sensitivity. She also recommends featherhawk essences in the appendix.

I had the honor of attending classes with Hanna Kroeger when I lived in Boulder, Colorado, and her information is accessible and offers insight into her research regarding the 7 Physical and 7 Spiritual Causes of Ill Health. God Helps Those Who Help Themselves introduces the 7 Physical Causes and is a great introduction to Hanna's work.
