Each Experiments in Sound & Healing class is unique and stands alone, providing experiences and information to help restore harmony in your health and life using sound and many other holistic healing modalities.
Intentionally broad in scope, we may experiment with sound techniques, watch videos about healing personally and globally, or practice using simple tools and sound exercises to restore wholeness to body, mind, and soul, as well as the environment. We also explore healing modalities and fascinating studies in energy and other advances in holistic health care.
Each class is unique and draws from a variety of sound and healing tools: crystal bowls (there is a wonderful set at the Sanctuary!), tuning forks, drums and other percussion instruments, and, especially, your own voice! Often we'll watch a film (we've seen The Living Matrix, Sacred Science, and many others). While these are not directly related to sound, they live in the realm of health and wholeness, expanding consciousness, awareness and compassion. There is always a lively discussion, no matter the topic!
Nanci has been involved with music since early childhood when, at age 6, her grandmother began teaching her to sing. She was a professional singer/guitarist for many years after high school, playing in clubs and doing small concerts in California. She also spent 4 months in Japan singing at The Wine Bar in Hakata on the island of Kyushu. More recently, her love of music has expanded to include healing with sound using tuning forks, drums, and toning - all forms of vibrational healing that are a powerful complement to essence therapy.
