6th
International Flower Essence Conference
Campos
do Jordao, Brazil
After months of planning and plotting how to get there and what
to take and how long to stay... well, the conference is history.
Sigh!
Campos
do Jordao is about 2 hours from Sao Paulo, and at
5500 feet and heading into fall, it was beautiful. Daytime temps
were in the 80's, nights in the 50's with lots of sunshine and
blue
skies. And a "jet-lag-less" journey, as well, since
they "fell back"
at the same time we "sprang forward," so there was
only a one
hour time difference. Definitely a blessing!
The
conference center was as beautiful as advertised, with
many sculpture gardens and incredible views from the hilltop.
(I'm hoping to figure out how to include a photo or two... I'll
keep you posted!)
Some
300 people were in attendance, predominantly from
South America though there folks from the U.S. and Canada,
Britons, Europeans and some from Japan. Interestingly, most
of the flyers and product info were in Portuguese (perhaps
my next trip to Brazil will include featherhawk info in Portuguese!),
so I didn't gather my usual collection of data about other companies.
Simultaneous
translation in English, Spanish and Portuguese
was quite an adventure. While I appreciate the difficulty of
listening
and speaking at the same time, much of the more technical
presentations was lost to those of us who spoke English because
the translator was really struggling with some of the words.
Overall, however, I had a great time, met many wonderful people,
and came away more impressed than ever with these gentle
remedies.
There
is so much exciting work being done with essences!
Sao Paulo University has a 360 hour program for nurses who
graduate with a specialty in flower essence therapy. Doctors
and
psychologists use essences, as well. There was some talk of the
"hunting of the witches," much like here in the U.S.,
and it seems
they are making a lot of progress, giving the rest of us goals
to
aim for.
Andreas
Korte, producer of Korte Phi essences, made a Dolphin
essence a few years back. Recently he has been guided to
put bottles of the essence in waterways, at pyramids in Egypt,
in a gas chamber at Auschwitz, and at the nuclear plant in
Chernobyl. He is guided to perform a ritual of attunement and
calling in the light to each location, then he leaves the bottles
of essence. At Auschwitz, as soon as the ritual was completed
the sky filled with hundreds of singing birds!
One
of his most amazing revelations was from Chernobyl.
He and his team were allowed on the actual plant site to do
their work, and he left a crystal geode filled with Dolphin essence
on the land. Overnight, the river flooded, carrying the essence
into the river. Apparently flooding is unusual there. The best
part
was when they were leaving. The guards always check people
for radiation, and when they checked Andreas and his team,
there was no radiation. They brought in a stronger measuring
machine, still no radiation. They brought in a still stronger
machine... there was no radiation present on any of them!
On the grounds of the worst nuclear accident in history!
I
am asking for volunteers to do similar work here in the States.
As I put a plan together, I will keep you posted. Please let
me
know if you are interested in participating, and if you have
any
suggestions for locations.

were many more reports of incredible work being done
all around the world and I encourage you to follow your heart
and participate in any way you wish, with any essences you

definition:

Icosahedron
(pronounced eye-ca-sa-hee'-dron) is from the
Sacred Geometry Series. An icosahedron has 20 sides, each
an equilateral triangle, and 12 points. It is one of the Platonic
Solids.
By definition, a Platonic Solid (there are five altogether) fits
perfectly
inside a sphere, with all the points precisely touching the sphere.

essences in the morning (the most auspicious time!)
and in the afternoon we will gather together in a circle
and sample each new essence, one at a time. As a group
we will go within and see what our individual experience

steps involved in making an essences are straight-
forward and easy to follow. The gift is the sacred attitude
and connection with nature that you will experience in
